mt ida hall
Building relocation, restoration, renovation and addition.
One of the original community halls. Constructed in 1914, shortly after Salmon Arm upgraded its town status to an official city in 1912.
“Reflecting on fond memories of when we moved this building across the road from it's original location. We spruced up the old bones and breathed life back into the building. The walls had many bits of history hidden within the horse hair and wood shavings (located within the stud bays). Mostly newspaper clippings and stubby beer bottles.” -Ross McDiarmid
